Inspirat din piesa lui Eugène Ionesco, filmul ne vorbește despre apariția intoleranței și a gândirii totalitare printr-o serie de episoade zilnice care se desfășoară într-un singur spațiu de la marginea deșertului Beersheba din Israel, clădirea Shikun. Acest grup hibrid este format din oameni de origini și limbi diferite. Unii dintre ei se vor transforma în rinoceri, dar alții vor rezista. Aici el este primit si primeste protectia celui mai mare birou de arhitectura moderna din Elvetia acelor vremuri.Este o calatorie in timp plina de amintiri si emotii personale, un parcurs formator si initiatic al parintelui lui Amos Gitai pe firul arhitecturii, care ne transporta prin Germania, Elvetia, Polonia si Israel.

Artie, est un expert d’art. Il est à Berlin pour présenter à ses collègues experts les résultats de son expertise sur deux tableaux quasi identiques. L’un étant l’original, l’autre un faux.
Lors de la soirée, Artie découvre que l’un des tableaux a disparu. C’est alors que Celia, une femme mystérieuse, propose à Artie de l’aider à retrouver le tableau
disparu. Caché derrière un masque de lapin, Artie, guidé par Celia se lance à travers Berlin. Au fur et à mesure que la nuit avance, les limites du vrai et du faux vont peu à peu s’estomper. Artie ne saura bientôt plus distinguer le vrai du faux tableau.- 2013

Posée dans un champ, à quelques mètres du lac Léman, à la périphérie de Lausanne, une plaque de béton et de verre. Percée d’étonnants trous en « patatoïdes », par endroits décollée du sol, la structure semble ondoyer sous le vent.
Cette étrange vague qui évoque une tranche d’emmenthal fondue, une crêpe, voire pour certains, un « mille-feuilles de difficultés », est un Collège des Humanités, le Learning Center de l’École polytechnique de Lausanne.
